First, we will conduct a thorough examination of your mouth, including x-rays and scans, to determine the appropriate placement of the implants.
Dr. Molina will perform the extractions of any remaining teeth that need to be removed, if any. Once the extractions are complete, the dental implants will be placed into the upper and/or lower jaw. The implant placement is specifically designed to use the strongest and most dense areas of the jawbone. This way the implant can support the denture and distribute the biting force evenly.
After the implants are placed, the periodontist will attach the temporary denture provided by your restorative dentist. This will allow the patient to leave the office with functioning teeth on the same day. The patient will need to return in a few months to their restorative dentist for the permanent denture to be placed.
